Anyone stepping into the hotel, built in 1971, cannot fail to be impressed by the spaciously designed reception area, the work of Swiss interior designer Carlo Rampazzi. Gleaming marble floors beneath a gently arching palazzo ceiling with antique Italian chandeliers and inviting settees turn the lobby into the central point of the two buildings making up the hotel. The surprising colour harmonies - so typical of Rampazzi and also continued in the rooms - are already apparent here., Hotel closed for refurbishment from Jan 4 to Feb 20, 2009., October 15, 2009 until April 2010: Hotel will be closed for a major renovations project.
